Sunset Years Book/Play/Game Murder Mysteries include everything you need to experience these stories conventionally as a book, act out the story as a four-act play, and even turn your play into a game where players formally discuss their theories, record their votes, and compete to see who is best at guessing the killer's identity.
You get instructions on how to host the story as an immersive play/game event, templates you can copy to create participant handouts, and tips on how to make your home events successful. You can also scroll down to the bottom of this web page and download digital materials to enhance your group event experience.
Sunset Years Book-Play-Game Murder Mysteries are based on a large-scale immersive murder mystery play approach we have used to entertain hundreds of residents in the real-life senior retirement community that our fictional Sunset Years retirement community is based upon.
There’s a surprising amount of hanky-panky, rivalries, personality quirks, and interpersonal conflicts that make role playing these characters challenging and fun whether you are sixteen, sixty, or beyond.
Senior Inspector Lance of the Wildwood Police is onsite investigating. Lance questions you and your friends to find out which of you had the motive, means and opportunity to commit this murder. The Coroner’s Office, the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) unit, and eyewitnesses provide additional details. In the end, Lance unmasks and arrests the killer.
Residents of Resort Lifestyle Community’s Pebble Springs at The Villages joined in on the fun of trying to find out who killed Emery Landon in local author Frank A. Lancione’s newest play Death of a Socialite. Eight Pebble Springs residents led the cast, and over 100 residents attended the October 15th show. Lancione’s interactive play methodology had audience members as well as the cast accusing suspects, discussing clues, and competing to unmask the killer. Pebble Springs is already planning to host additional Lancione interactive murder mystery plays in 2025.
