November 12, 2024 Show A Big Success! Draws Repeat Customers!
The Recreation Team at Colony Cottage hosted a performance of Death of a Socialite on November 12, 2024. Cast members were drawn principally from the Writers League of the Villages (WLOV). Villages residents in the audience participated directly in evaluating clues, presenting and defending their theories and accusing suspects. Roughly a third of the audience indicated they had attended prior Lancione murder mysteries and said that the fun of those experiences was a strong motivation to attend this Colony performance of the newest play.

100+ Residents Attend October 15th Murder Mystery Play Performance
Residents of Resort Lifestyle Community’s Pebble Springs at The Villages joined in on the fun of trying to find out who killed Emery Landon in local author Frank A. Lancione’s newest play Death of a Socialite. Eight Pebble Springs residents led the cast, and over 100 residents attended the October 15th show. Lancione’s interactive play methodology had audience members as well as the cast accusing suspects, discussing clues, and competing to unmask the killer. Pebble Springs is already planning to host additional Lanccione interactive murder mystery plays in 2025 including a scheduled February 3, 2025 performance of Death by Cat.
